Alwyn Crawshaw

Forgot to take my Cromwell's Castle painting to painting class. John gave me an Alwyn Crawshaw book but I hate painting from other people's paintings so after a really poor attempt to do so, I did a quick doodle of the author himself.

Cromwell's Castle

Start of watercolour. Copied from photo from a few years ago when Jacqui and Gareth met up with me and the boys on Bryher. Jacqui actually waded across from Tresco!

Art Set

Found a fun app for the iPad called Art Set. Great!

The Strand

We have a painting of The Strand, Bromsgrove in our downstairs loo. It depicts the shops and pubs that were there a long time ago. I thought I'd have a go at doing an updated version. I wasn't too happy with the result. Hey-ho!

Pastels

Had some lovely pastels for Christmas. I have only used pastels a long time ago and then it was only dabbling. Anyway, I thought I'd take them to art class and see how I got on.

Little Black Book

Bec persuaded me to buy a little black sketch pad which she said would be good as I could take it anywhere. At first I wasn't sure but now I love it. It's so handy!
